Pisces Moon Paranormal is a new, small, not for profit, paranormal investigation organization taking a professional and serious approach to investigating the paranormal and the unexplained. Because we're still a new group, you'll find this site under construction, and many changes will be made in the months to come. Many of the changes will come from those of you who wish to join us in our investigations.
Four aspects of our organization may differ from other paranormal investigation groups, and we feel it's important for those who wish to join us to understand them.
1) Though we use whatever electronic equipment we can to help build a case either for or against a haunting, we believe technology must be coupled with intuition, psychic abilities, empathy, clairaudience, etc. Just as modern medicine and the use folk medicine work best in tandem, so, we believe, do science and parascience.
2) We approach each investigation or vigil with open minds, aware of the influence of many spiritual paths converging on the events we seek to understand. In Pisces Moon our perspective comes from our acknowledgment of the inter-connectivity between all "life," seen or unseen, in this dimension or another. All spiritual points of view are welcome here. We don't proselytize, we don't force feed our ideology, and we never close our minds to any possibility. Everyone is welcome. We ask only that every participant give this same respect the point of view of others. None of us are high enough on the spiritual scale of evolution that we can afford to ignore anyone's opinions.
3) We use the term paranormal rather than "supernatural," and we enter into each investigation with the goal of finding explainable phenomena, at least explainable by the scientific community's current standards. We are open to networking or working with other paranormal organizations to pool our resources. What we seek is what everyone seeks: Answers to life’s most persistent mysteries.
4) Even though science tells us it is impossible to "prove the negative," this is exactly what we try to do. We walk in to any investigation with the attitude that something verifiable, something now known to science, is present, and, if we can, we will debunk it. We may experience many things as individuals or in small groups, but we may not always have the evidence to say, "Yep, this place is haunted," while we have an EMF meter pointed at your breaker box. We will give you feedback on whatever we have, be it intuition, or intuition coupled with photographic and/or voice recorded evidence. Spirits are notorious for waiting until equipment is dismantled to put on the best shows.
Our adopted creed was written more than a century ago by a famous mystery novelist and avid ghost hunter. We believe his single, sensible sentence sums up the attitude of the best paranormal investigators. We always go in looking for the logical, scientific explanation, however, if there is not one to be found, other possibilities much be considered. We think you will find the author as familiar as an old friend.

Pisces Moon Paranormal is a not for profit paranormal investigation organization taking a professional and serious approach to investigating the paranormal and the unexplained. Our Director and Assistant Director are certified in their areas of expertise, have been longtime adherents of spiritual studies, and are dedicated to the scientific and spiritual of analysis of anomalous phenomena.
Interested persons in any area where we are investigating are welcome on a first come basis. Sometimes we are only able to secure permission for a limited number of investigators and equipment to be on a property. All you need to do is copy the and sign the waiver at the bottom of this page, and be ready to present it--and a valid photo ID--before we begin.
Feel free to e-mail us with any ideas, stories, links to great ghost sites, your own ghost site, accounts of personal spooky experiences, hunting and vigil tips, etc., or other news of interest to paranormal investigators. We will be glad to look them over and, with your permission, post them on our website. We would love to share our data with you, and if you wish to share with us, you will be credited for all your work, and all copyrights remain yours. Paranormal investigation is not a money-making venture. We are the curious seeking answers to life’s most persistent mystery.
From our “kick off” dinner in the haunted banquet room on the top floor of Indianapolis’s haunted old Milano Inn Italian Restaurant (Summer 2007, date not confirmed), to the furthest corners of the earth, Pisces Moon wants to push the frontiers of paranormal science and mystery. We hope you will wish to share with us.
No living individual--and, no, past lives do not count here--has all the answers to the questions we seek. Our goal is to create a safe, friendly, cooperative environment, where all participants are able to feel uninhibited about sharing ideas, philosophies, and experiences, regardless of religious background or personal beliefs about life after death.
From the Yukon to Tierra del Fuego, from London to Sydney, and from Boston to your own backyard, no wandering spirit will elude us if someone allows us access.

There are no "dues" or "mandatory meeting" in Pisces Moon. We recognize that this is a hobby--a passionate one--but still a hobby, and family and employment demands must be everyone's first priority.
Interested persons are always welcome to take part in our vigils, hunts, dinners, and investigations. Occasionally tour packages may be put together to allow a larger group of us to travel and work together, and these are optional. Come with us when you find yourself with free time and a little extra cash, or wait for another tour to be put together.
We promise to share all our experiences on this site so that everyone who is interested can feel as if he or she was with us.
All parties coming on an investigation or vigil with us must sign the waiver at the bottom of this page and present it to the Director or Assistant Director prior to entering any investigation site. This is to protect us, you, and the owners of the property under investigation.

By Signing This Waiver I Affirming to Pisces Moon Paranormal, and to the Owners or Caretakers of Any Property Pisces Moon Investigations, That I Understand Each of the Following Statements Believe Them to be True.
1) I am 18 years of age or older at the time of the investigation or vigil.
2) I accept that Pisces Moon is responsible for obtaining permission from the owners or caretakers of the property being investigated, and I am not responsible for any charges of trespassing or willful destruction of this property.
3) I believe I am in sound physical shape to undergo many hours of walking or sitting.
4) I recognize there are dangers--physical and emotional--in any investigation, and I accept that only I can be responsible for my safety. These dangers can include, but are not limited to; sighting of apparitions, being touched by apparitions, hearing voices or music, being pushed when no one is around to push you, stray animal attacks, faulty wiring, broken glass, broken plaster, falling ceilings, unstable railing, unsupported flooring, loose bricks, etc.
5) I accept responsibility for any equipment I bring to the investigation. The care of it is up to me alone. Keeping track of where it is is up to me alone. I will use the equipment myself, or give it to only a person I choose. Pisces Moon is not responsible for my lost or broken equipment, and I am not responsible for any breakage or damage to the equipment of Pisces Moon Paranormal.
6) I understand we must work in groups of at least two people during a vigil. To maximize coverage, spread out equipment, and provide the best mix of technological and psychic talent, I may be asked to work with other people I do not know. I may ask to be put on a different location, but if there is no place for me to to trade, I must go with the assigned partner or leave the investigation.
7) I understand that at NO TIME DURING THE INVESTIGATION will I go off on my own. I understand that it is essential to work in pairs. This allows a buddy system for safety to be in place, it allows for a back up person for any phenomena experienced, and it also cuts down on the fear factor which can get to even the most experienced investigator.
8) I may research or read about the property beforehand, and Pisces Moon agrees to share with me all the details of the "haunting" if I want them. (Some psychics prefer not know details in advance.)
9) I realize that the nature of paranormal investigation means my voice or likeness may be recorded. I acknowledge that there is no convenient way to avoid this, and to try and work around it could hamper the investigation. Therefore, I understand that my voice or likeness may be featured in magazine articles, websites, pod-casts, books, video productions, or other forms of public media.
10) I realize many everyday objects can cause false positives on photos or video. These include flashlights, dust, insects, fog, and smoke. I and my my partner(s) will try to reproduce or debunk any anomalies we find.
11) I agree not to smoke during the hours of the investigation, not only because it can create a false positive, but because I am on someone else's property. To smoke and/or leave cigarette butts behind, is disrespectful, and could cause Pisces Moon to lose the privilege of repeat investigations or investigations at other sites.
12) I am aware I may bring a bottle of water with me, but no other food and/or drink is permitted during the onsite research, investigation, or vigil. I realize I will be asked to leave the property if I am caught breaking this rule.
13) I will disclose ONLY to the Director and Case Manager--in confidence--if I know or believe I have a brain chemistry disorder. This will in no way jeopardize my being part of the investigation team. If fact, it may be an asset.
14) I am aware many of the places we visit will not have power or plumbing available. Pisces Moon will try to work out these details before any investigation or vigil, but I will be prepared to bring plastic lined coffee cans!!!
15) I know that I do not have to allow anyone to handle or operate my personal equipment, nor will I be compelled to use another's investigator's equipment if I choose not too. I understand that any equipment I bring to the investigation or vigil is my responsibility, and no other individual, or Pisces Moon Paranormal, is liable for any damage, destruction, or loss of my equipment.
